Research Topic- Internet Privacy
Recently for those that use social networking sites such as Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter and many others you might have noticed that you received emails about updated data and privacy laws and protections. It seems that now in society many people have shared so much of our lives that we might have kept private with the world. But what many might not have known is what happens to all the information that we put out on the web? What are the creators of our favorite social media apps doing with all the information we give them and even if we opt out to share information there could be a chance they still might able to acquire it. In this research assignment I will discusses how internet privacy has changed throughout the years with a variety of different perspectives such as technological, economic and sociological perspectives and the impacts it has on how we know social media today.

I remember when Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook were just in court over privacy concerns of the users on Facebook. It's scary using the internet and knowing possibly what you are saying is being seen by others.
ReplyDeleteAssata Snells, “seems that now in society many people have shared so much of our lives that we might have kept private with the world” yes I agree I was just contemplating about Facebook, and the privacy issue where Mark Zuckerberg had to release a testimony for a national issue. It’s scary how we were all manipulated from a young age to adulthood about social media. Imagine all the family pictures, names, etc available online for virtually anyone. Scary thought am I right I’m definitely deleting a few things.
