Suggest a new type of "new media" that doesn't currently exist. Describe it.
A type of new media that doesn't currently exist could possibly Face Identification for a social media applications that you would have to use your own face to use and nobody elses or it would not work. This could potentially help people stop being deceived online by others pretending to be someone they are not. It wouldn't allow you to make more than one profile and could potentially decrease cyber bullying because then people cannot make fake pages to post hurtful things about one another. |
I strongly agree with you. Identity theft is really common these days.
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome idea. I have an iphone X and the face recognition is really convenient. Also this is a new feature for banking sites. I noticed last time I logged into my bank app, they had face recognition so I didn't have to type in my password anymore.
ReplyDeleteAssata,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you & Alexandra - while the idea may be somewhat evident given gradual common use of facial recognition, at least among iPhone X users, this could come in handy for broad use in the social media sphere. I'm almost of the belief that either this is being currently developed or will be in no time. And its use of convenience certainly makes life very easy. Its twin-trouble of privacy will come along handy, of course. But our future certainly seems interesting for all the technologies we'll experience in our life time. Existing times to be alive, for sure, even not as a tech nerd.
This is a really cool concept. Facial identification is really useful for apps like Alexndra mentioned for online banking and such, so why dont social media sites have this feature. It would be especially useful for times that people want to log on to social media sites and defame a user by posting rediculous comments that could seriously hurt the user.
